Daniel T. Wehner, Ph.D., Joins Pierce Atwood as Patent Partner in Boston Office
To address our clients’ growing and complex patent services needs, Pierce Atwood is pleased to welcome experienced patent attorney Dan Wehner to the firm’s Boston office.
Dan counsels clients in patent prosecution, portfolio development, due diligence, patent litigation support, and post-grant proceedings. He assists companies and academic institutions with their IP strategy within technical areas such as bioinformatics, microfluidics, medical imaging, robotics, diagnostics, artificial intelligence, blockchain, software-controlled devices, and MEMS.
Dan's diverse background in the biological-electrical-mechanical spectrum has helped him develop patent strategies for clients with technologies related to signal and image processing, semiconductor systems including computer memory and image sensors, power systems, computer software development including mobile apps, speech recognition, and nanotechnology.
Since 2017, Dan has been recognized as a “Rising Star” by Massachusetts Super Lawyers and he is a member of the Boston Patent Law Association. Dan received his J.D. cum laude from Suffolk University Law School, a Ph.D. in Health Sciences & Technology and M.S. in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science from MIT, and a B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from University of Iowa.
