Maine Forestry Law Extranet (MFLE)

The MFLE is an online service that contains up-to-date versions of Maine environmental and land use laws and regulations affecting the forest products industry, together with news and alerts, summaries of the laws, and helpful links. The cost of this service is $500/year for one to three user licenses, or $750/year for four or more user licenses, plus a one-time sign up fee of $50. Environmental Developments Extranet

Pierce Atwood offers a daily environmental developments tracking service via our extranet site. The extranet enables access to posted information from any online computer. The site includes postings of developments in each of seven areas -- air, fish & wildlife, hydropower, land use, waste management, water, and general environmental. The site includes postings from key Maine, New Hampshire, and selected national newspapers, as well as Maine, New Hampshire, and U.S. federal environmental agencies (including the daily Federal Register).

When a new item is added to the extranet, subscribers receive an email informing them that the item has been added, and inviting them to view it on the extranet. In lieu of an immediate email for each posting, you may choose to have one email that summarizes the postings that were added the preceding day. There also is an "in box" that appears when you log into the site that notifies you of postings that have been made since you last logged in. An unlimited number of users can be added from any company, and not all users from each company need to subscribe to all seven content areas.

The cost of this service is $50 per month per content area -- $350 for all seven -- for your entire company (no matter how many users). If you subscribe, we will also include a site specific to your company and its projects, where only items of interest to you will be posted.
