William Hewitt is the head of Pierce Atwood LLP's Renewable Energy Practice where he advises clients on a broad spectrum of renewable energy, policy and project development matters. Bill also regularly represents participants in the gas, electric and telecommunications sectors in complex regulatory and litigation matters before state and federal courts, administrative tribunals and private arbitration panels.

An engineer before attending law school, Bill's background allows him to provide a unique perspective and understanding of the legal, technical and operational issues faced by energy and telecommunications clients in today's competitive landscape. Bill's broad expertise and experience allow him to understand the client's business and help them achieve their commercial, regulatory and litigation goals.
