Pierce Atwood Adds Two Accomplished Environmental and Real Estate Lawyers
Pierce Atwood LLP is pleased to announce that Daniel J. Bailey and Gareth I. Orsmond have joined the firm as partners in the Environmental, Land Use, and Real Estate Practice Groups.
Dan brings to the firm 25 years of experience in all aspects of environmental, regulatory, and municipal law, particularly in the redevelopment of commercial property. Dan represents clients before state agencies, boards, and commissions to help facilitate the development of a wide range of commercial real estate projects, including mixed use (retail, office, and housing), multifamily housing, athletic facilities, marinas, and large residential subdivisions.
Gareth’s practice transects permitting, general counseling, transactional, and litigation matters. He brings more than 17 years of experience successfully representing towns, regional agencies, developers, manufacturers, retail businesses, nonprofit entities, and condominium associations. He has appeared in hundreds of adjudicatory hearings and public meetings before local and state permitting authorities, as well as the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, Appeals Court, and trial courts. Gareth will be resident in Pierce Atwood’s Boston and Portsmouth, NH offices.
Dan and Gareth both come to Pierce Atwood from Rackemann Sawyer & Brewster, where Dan was co-chair of the Real Estate Department, Group Leader of the Environmental and Land Use Group, and a member of that firm’s Executive Committee, and Gareth was a director in its Real Estate Practice Group.
