Katherine E. Hyland

Katherine Hyland represents developers, investors, financial institutions and private equity clients in an array of commercial real estate transactions, including complex acquisitions and dispositions, portfolio sale leasebacks, ground leasing, financings, land use and zoning, and development.

Prior to joining Pierce Atwood, Katie was an associate in the real estate transactions and investments group at Ropes & Gray LLP.

While in law school, Katie served as law clerk for the Office of the General Counsel for Northeastern University. She was appointed to the sub-committee that examined various university and athletics policies, including the student-athlete social media policy related to NCAA compliance. She also performed statutory and case law research in areas such as tax law, nonprofit status, and the National Labor Relations Act and confidentiality clauses in employee contracts.
