Lawrence Hunt counsels clients throughout the estate planning process, educating and guiding them through the various options that address their unique circumstances in order to realize their goals of transferring their wealth and values to the next generation.

He regularly assists clients in communicating their wishes to their children and families, often participating in family discussions.

Larry advises clients on using wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts, and incapacity documents such as powers of attorney and health care proxies. He counsels clients on sophisticated estate and tax planning techniques, including family limited partnerships and complex trusts.

Larry also focuses his practice on estate and trust administration. By representing fiduciaries in administering estates, trusts, and guardianships, Larry guides clients through the probate process, prepares estate and gift tax returns, and advises on the efficient and protective distributions of assets.

In addition, Larry advises both fiduciaries and beneficiaries in the proper administration of trusts, including risk management. He handles non-judicial settlement of controversies, counsels clients through conflict resolution and, where appropriate, oversees trust litigation.

Larry is an emeritus member of the Board of Trustees of the Zeiterion Theatre in downtown New Bedford. A native Rhode Islander who now resides in Mattapoisett, Massachusetts with his wife, three children and a series of pets, Larry serves clients throughout Rhode Island and Massachusetts.
