ACC Northeast and Pierce Atwood Present Webinar on Legal Risks in AI Contract Negotiations

Pierce Atwood is partnering with the Association of Corporate Counsel Northeast (ACC Northeast) to provide Maine CLE programming tailored for in-house counsel. Our third program of the year will be held virtually on Tuesday, June 18 beginning at 12:00 pm. This program is pending approval for 1 general Maine CLE credit.

In-house counsel must understand the legal risk of new-to-market AI solutions. Using a real-world hypothetical, Pierce Atwood attorneys Tim Fisher, Vivek Rao, and Ariel Pardee will present a contract negotiation between an AI technology supplier and its consumer-facing enterprise customer. We will describe the preferred first positions each side is likely to put forward on topics such as:

  • Copyright
  • Representations and warranties (including with respect to explainability, bias, transparency, accuracy, and privacy)
  • Ongoing model risk management and governance

We will then discuss how, during counter, in-house counsel can unpack the AI solution’s design to unlock more nuanced approaches to these topics and avoid negotiation stalemates.

Please visit ACC Northeast for more information and registration instructions.

The Association of Corporate Counsel is a global legal association that promotes the common professional and business interests of in-house counsel who work for corporations, associations, and other organizations through information, education, networking, and advocacy.
