With the ongoing changes to hospital systems and physician practices, health care providers are no longer limited to practicing in the state where they live. Often, their practice crosses state lines. And with improved technology, physicians are now delivering services via telehealth – emergency consults, second opinions, and routine virtual visits to patients in rural areas.
