Emily L. Cooke Named Pierce Atwood Partner
Pierce Atwood LLP is pleased to announce that Emily L. Cooke, an attorney in its Business Practice Group, has been named partner at the firm.
Emily Cooke focuses her practice on commercial transactions, compliance, and corporate governance for a range of commercial clients, including banks, health care organizations, insurance industry participants, and nonprofit entities. In addition to traditional corporate and contracts matters, she regularly counsels clients with respect to regulatory compliance in the areas of education and health care, including under the Affordable Care Act.
Prior to joining Pierce Atwood in 2011, Emily was an associate with Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP in Washington, D.C., where she worked with a range of Fortune 100 financial institutions in public and private mergers and acquisitions and financial regulatory matters.

Emily holds a J.D., magna cum laude, from Georgetown University Law Center, where she received the Order of the Coif and was Notes Editor of the Georgetown Law Journal. Emily holds a B.A., cum laude, from Dartmouth College.
