John Bulman to Serve on ADR Panel of US District Court for the District of Rhode Island
Pierce Atwood partner John E. Bulman has been accepted to serve on the ADR panel of the U.S. District Court for the District of Rhode Island. In his letter to John communicating this acceptance, District Court Chief Justice William E. Smith stated, “We were impressed with your legal and mediation experience, as well as your formal ADR training. We think you will be a great addition to the Panel.”
In addition to John's extensive trial experience, he regularly acts as a neutral arbitrator in wide range of cases in jurisdictions around the country. In 2017, John was inducted into the National Academy of Distinguished Neutrals, an invitation-only organization for mediators and arbitrators who are well-established as trusted neutrals among the legal community within their state of practice.
John has held a variety of leadership positions with the American Arbitration Association and is an Elected Fellow in the College of Commercial Arbitrators. He is a certified mediator from the International Mediation Institute and serves on the National Construction Dispute Resolution Committee.
