Michele Kenney Appointed to Federal Court Advisory Committee
Pierce Atwood attorney Michele Kenney, a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and Partner-in-Charge of the firm’s Portsmouth, NH office, has been appointed to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Hampshire’s Federal Court Advisory Committee. The Committee serves as a sounding board on issues facing the court. It studies and recommends changes to local rules, considers ways to improve court operations and procedures, and functions as a liaison between practitioners and the court.
Michele Kenney focuses her practice on commercial litigation, representing businesses, individuals, and financial institutions in a broad range of disputes. Before joining Pierce Atwood, Michele was a litigation associate at Cleary Gottlieb Steen & Hamilton LLP, in New York City, where her practice focused on complex commercial and appellate litigation in federal courts.
Michele graduated summa cum laude from Brooklyn Law School where she was Executive Articles Editor of the Brooklyn Law Review, and received her BA from the University of Chicago.
