Peter Guffin to Teach CLE Program on Cybersecurity Law at University of Maine School of Law
Pierce Atwood Privacy & Data Security Practice Group Chair Peter Guffin will join faculty members from the University of Southern Maine’s Cyber Security Cluster in teaching this CLE program, Cybersecurity Law: Responding to a Data Breach.
In this introduction to cybersecurity law, attendees will learn the basics of how to plan for and deal with cyber incidents. The course will also provide some of the key technology fundamentals that lawyers need to understand in order to work effectively with cybertechnology experts, to assess privacy and cybersecurity risks, and analyze the legal implications that arise from cyber incidents.
The program will be held January 16-18, 2018 from 8:30 am - 1:00 pm at the University of Maine School of Law. Maine attorneys who complete this course will receive 13.5 CLE credits. Please visit Maine Law for more information and registration instructions.
