Pierce Atwood Assists Maine Island Trail Association

Pierce Atwood provided advice and counsel to the Maine Island Trail Association in connection with the organization's first real estate purchase.  The Maine Island Trail Association (MITA) is a membership organization dedicated to the protection and enjoyment of the wild islands of coastal Maine. With the counsel of Pierce Atwood, MITA purchased a building in Freeport, Maine in which they are able to store and maintain their fleet of work boats. Each summer these boats carry about 1,000 volunteers out to the coastal Maine islands for beach cleanups and other stewardship work.
