Pierce Atwood Attorneys and Practices Recognized in Chambers USA 2021

Chambers and Partners today announced its rankings for the 2021 edition of Chambers USA: America’s Leading Lawyers for Business. Pierce Atwood has been ranked among the USA’s best firms in practices across the firm, with 38 attorneys ranked as leaders in their respective fields.

Chambers USA is published annually and is consulted by general counsel of global and national businesses. The guide evaluates lawyers based on technical legal skills, professional conduct, client service, commercial astuteness, diligence, commitment, and other qualities most valued by clients. Practice area rankings are based on individual lawyers within the field, and the strength and depth of a department.

These Maine-based practices were once again ranked in Band 1 in the 2021 edition:

  • Bankruptcy/Restructuring
  • Corporate/M&A
  • Energy & Natural Resources
  • Environment
  • Labor & Employment
  • Litigation: General Commercial
  • Real Estate

Once again, Pierce Atwood is the only law firm in Maine to be ranked number one in seven practice areas, and the only law firm in Maine ranked number one for environmental law and commercial litigation.

We’re also pleased to report that our Massachusetts-based Energy practice was ranked in Band 2, which is particularly notable since 2021 is the first year that Chambers is ranking this practice in the Commonwealth.
