Pierce Atwood Elevates Four Attorneys to Partner

Pierce Atwood LLP is pleased to announce that these attorneys have been named firm partners:

Kathleen M. Heyer, based in Boston, focuses her practice on administrative and land use development and litigation, and has extensive experience representing property owners, developers, and companies in a wide variety of land use matters, including boundary disputes, encroachments, title defects, and conservation issues. Kathleen was actively involved in developing and implementing the Land Court’s tax lien foreclosure pro bono program, and represents homeowners in tax title proceedings through that program. Kathleen graduated cum laude from New England Law | Boston, has been recognized as a top land use and zoning lawyer by Best Lawyers, Boston Magazine, and Super Lawyers, and is actively involved in the leadership of the Real Estate Bar Association for Massachusetts. 

Peter H. Kenlan, a commercial real estate attorney based in Portland, Maine, focuses his practice on acquisitions, dispositions, development, financing, title and land use analysis, leasing, and title insurance. Peter represents real estate developers, aquaculture farms, timberlands companies, utilities, energy companies, resort owners, nonprofits, and individuals in a broad range of transactions. Peter graduated summa cum laude from University of Maine School of Law, received his M.S. in Forestry from University of Maine, and his B.A. in Biology from Brandeis University.

Kellie E. MacDonald, based in Portland, Maine, practices employment-based immigration law, working with employers and employees to develop and implement solutions for short and long-term immigration needs. Kellie is a frequent speaker on immigration law for the Maine bar and is active in pro bono work, including individual pro bono representation and the firm’s strategic pro bono partnerships. In 2023, Kellie received the Pierce Atwood Scribner Firm Impact Award for working to keep pro bono and community service top-of-mind in the firm. Kellie graduated from Harvard Law School and received her B.A. summa cum laude from Tufts University.

Kasey Boucher Pierter, based in Portland, Maine, focuses her practice on intellectual property, advertising and unfair competition laws, and technology transactions. In this rapidly evolving landscape, Kasey provides clients with current, practical expertise by staying up to date on the latest developments in technology and their potential legal implications in relation to social media, AI, and more. Kasey graduated summa cum laude from University of Maine School of Law and received her B.S. cum laude in Business Administration from Boston University.
