Pierce Atwood Partner Jonathan M. Gelchinsky Named to 2016 World Trademark Review's WTR 1000
Pierce Atwood LLP announced today that Jonathan M. Gelchinsky, a partner in the firm's Intellectual Property & Technology Practice Group, has been recognized by World Trademark Review (WTR) for inclusion in its 2016 edition of WTR 1000. This is the fifth consecutive year that Jon has received recognition from this first and only stand-alone ranking publication to focus exclusively on trademark practices and practitioners.
Jon received a silver rating for his work in the categories of Enforcement & Litigation and Prosecution & Strategy, and was recognized alongside several other prominent Boston trademark lawyers. In its profile, WTR describes Jon as maintaining, "...an A-to-Z practice, but [he] wins most laurels for his Internet savvy. His mastery of keyword advertising and social media is in high demand as online enforcement continues to dominate the agenda. He specializes in generic top-level domains and makes canny use of the Trademark Clearinghouse to protect valuable intangible assets."
Selections for inclusion in WTR 1000 were based on face-to-face and telephone interviews and exchanged correspondence over a four-month period with hundreds of lawyers and their clients involved with trademarks. Individuals qualify for inclusion in the WTR 1000 upon receiving sufficient positive feedback from market sources with knowledge of their practice and the market in which they operate.
