Pierce Atwood Partner Selected to Visit India to Discuss Smart City Strategies
Now-retired Environmental Law Partner Bill Taylor was selected by the U.S. Embassy in New Delhi for a trip to India as the only U.S. lawyer to represent the United States in a project to bring U.S.-based professionals to India to share expertise on "smart city" strategies. The trip includes visits to three Indian cities where the U.S and Indian governments have committed to co-developing: Allahabad, Lucknow, and Visakhapatnam (Vizag). Currently, the cities in question are looking for proven strategies to reduce river pollution and strategies to deal with untreated waste flowing into rivers. The trip includes meetings with high-level city officials and university partners.
