Sarah McGarrell Panel Moderator at Global Cannabis Regulatory Summit

Pierce Atwood partner Sarah McGarrell will moderate a panel discussing the non-medical use of cannabis, “Moving from Prohibition to Medical to Adult Use: Will Europe Follow the Path taken in the Americas.”

• How designations such as “Novel Foods” and “Generally Recognized as Safe” could drive development of the European markets.
• Cultivation standards.
• How the UN distinguishes medical and adult use, and whether Europe is willing and/or prepared to move in the same direction as US and Canada.
• Lessons learned from markets that have laid the groundwork for cannabis policy reform, and what could be next for cannabis in the EU.
