Sarah Tracy and Kris Eimicke Named Co-chairs of Pierce Atwood Energy Infrastructure Practice Group
We are pleased to announce that Sarah B. Tracy and Kris J. Eimicke have been named co-chairs of the firm’s Energy Infrastructure Project Development & Finance Practice Group.
Sarah Tracy advises generators, utilities, and large commercial energy users throughout New England on state and federal energy issues. Sarah represents buyers and sellers in connection with the purchase and sale of generation facilities, including conducting due diligence on the facilities, providing advice on state energy regulatory, interconnection and ISO-NE issues, and assisting with negotiating and drafting transaction documents.
Sarah also represents clients before public utilities commissions to obtain approvals for energy infrastructure projects, rate increases, and authorizations to enter into merger transactions and affiliate transactions. Additionally, Sarah assists owners of utility scale and distributed energy generation facilities and off-takers negotiate key energy agreements, including power purchase agreements, net energy billing agreements, renewable energy credit purchase and sale agreements, and natural gas transportation agreements.
Kris Eimicke focuses his practice on complex business transactions, with a particular emphasis on highly structured transactions utilizing or involving federal and state tax credits, including renewable energy tax credits and other economic development programs, such as opportunity zones and new markets tax credits.
Kris handles all aspects of renewable energy mergers, acquisitions, and finance, including tax equity, back leverage debt, preferred equity, and other creative and unique structures, including helping to develop a royalty model for financing renewable energy projects and developers.
Both Sarah and Kris are frequent speakers and presenters on a variety of energy and finance topics, and are active members of related professional and civic organizations.
